
The SCRT™ Workshop faculty have years of equine affiliated experience such as riding, teaching, competing, and judging, English and Western, among them. Each instructor brings a special group of interests and talents providing students a rich diversity of information and perspectives. Other qualified faculty are added for special classes such as driving and farriery.
 Mary-Charlotte (Chardy) Shealy, R.N., Ph.D., Director
Chardy specializes in working with novice adult riders, and instructors, consulting on rider issues, teaching physical conditioning of the rider and horse and equine management. Author of Practical Horse Management, and other published works, Chardy breeds and raises registered horses especially for the EEC programs. She attained Centered Riding® Instructor II. Her Ph.D. is in Health Communications.

Barbara Jennifer Joyce, B.A., Assistant Director
Assistant Director of the SCRT Workshops, Barbara is a graduate of Lake Erie College (Equine Studies and English), and took some of her equestrian training in England.
A successful trainer, coach and competitor, Barbara and her students have accumulated innumerable winnings, mostly dressage and hunters. A popular instructor with a large clientele of all ages, Barbara has attained Centered Riding Instructor II. Be sure to visit Barbara's website.

Shanna Nelson, Trainer and Administrative Assistant
Majoring in Biology with a Pre-Veterinary emphasis at Drury University, Shanna works at Brindabella Farms schooling and conditioning green horses and steady SCRT mounts alike. She has extensive experience showing, training, and marketing horses.
